Over time, gardens become even more beautiful. Founded in 1931 by esteemed scientist Brother Marie-Victorin, the Jardin botanique (Botanical Garden) has always sought to offer something new, from the opening of its first snowdrops, to its greenhouses lush with tropical treasures and the exhibitions of its Biodiversity Centre. You’ll want to return again and again to witness the various species in bloom throughout the changing seasons.
Under one roof, the Biodôme lets visitors experience a humid tropical rainforest, the Laurentian Maple Forest, the Gulf of St. Lawrence, the Labrador Coast and the Sub-Antarctic Islands, taking them on a trip from one end of the Americas to the other. Discover a broad range of plants and animals in their carefully crafted habitats and climates.
The Planétarium reveals some of the infinite secrets of the universe through fascinating shows that transport you among the stars and to the far reaches of the galaxies. Be ready to be amazed! As in the other Space for Life museums, the Planétarium also offers exhibitions and workshops.
Like a caterpillar that becomes a butterfly, the Insectarium de Montréal is also undergoing a transformation. Watch for it to emerge from its cocoon in 2021 with a brand-new look!
